Mihai Camarut

(1904-1981)

Mihai Camarut (1904-1981) is widely recognized as one of Romania's most accomplished contemporary painters. His formal training included the Academy of Fine Arts from Iasi, Romania that he graduated in 1930.

Since 1930 Mihai Camarut paintings were part of several group and individual exhibitions in Iasi, Bacau, Botosani, Piatra-Neamt and Bucharest - Romania.

Rural landscapes, as well as urban and industrial landscapes, flowers and still lifes, portraits and compositions - especially the scenes work - are themes that the artist has dealt with most frequently.

Mihai Camarut paintings are part of museums and private collections throughout Europe and North-America.
