Valuation Submissions Guidelines

The following steps provide a guideline on how to send us details on works of art you wish to sell or get a free valuation quote.

Step 1: Email us to check if your artwork is by one of the artists we are actively seeking.

Once confirmed that your artwork is by one of the artists we are actively seeking, you can proceed with the next step.

Step 2: Email us details and digital images of the artwork, including:

Name of the artist;

Description of the artwork including size, medium and date (if available);

Brief history of the artwork including how or where it was acquired;

A good quality digital image of the artwork;

If applicable - an image of the reverse side and a close up of the signature;

Your contact information including at minimum email and/or phone number;

The reason for valuation, such as estate, resale or insurance purposes.

Please note: We will be unable to respond to your request if no images of the artwork are provided. If you are unable to provide digital images please email us for further information.

In some cases we may not have adequate information or experience with a particular artist's work to provide you with a valuation. Please email us to check if your artwork is by one of the artists we are actively seeking.

General Terms & Conditions

Please allow 1-2 weeks for us to get back to you as we have receive sometimes a high volume of submissions. If you require a response sooner, please email us after you have provided us details of the artwork.

All communication with Fine Arts Toronto Gallery regarding your valuation inquiry is considered confidential and is intended for the purpose of research only.

It is for the exclusive use of its addressee only and any use or reliance for any other purpose, by the sender or third parties, is invalid.

Communications with Fine Arts Toronto Gallery may not be quoted from or referred to in dealings with third parties without prior written approval.


Examples of successfully consigned/sold artworks

Fine Arts Toronto Gallery successfully consigned/sold from small wood panels up to large canvases by historical and contemporary artists.
