Normand Hudon (1882-1974)
Normand Hudon (1929-1997) studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Montreal and then at the Academy Montmartre in Paris (1949), where he had fruitful meetings with Picasso, Léger and other contemporary artists. His works have been exhibited regularly from 1947 at the Salon du Printemps Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and then more frequently in Quebec, Canada and abroad.
Also recognized for his talents as a caricaturist, Hudon satirical drawings have long been published in several publications, including La Presse and Le Devoir. His irreverent humour has always influenced his works, which often portray familiar characters and neighbourhoods of Montreal.
