Victor Mihailescu-Craiu (1908-1981) is widely recognized as one of Romania's most accomplished contemporary painters. His formal training included the Academy of Fine Arts from Iasi, Romania that he graduated in 1934.
Since 1934 Mihailescu-Craiu paintings were part of several group and individual exhibitions in Iasi, Bacau, Botosani, Piatra-Neamt and Bucharest - Romania.
Landscapes, flowers, still lifes and portraits are the main themes that the artist has dealt with most frequently. Painter of all seasons, Mihailescu-Craiu is above all unsurpassed poet of autumnal and winter landscapes to be recognized by his specific chromatic range.
